Tomorrow, I'll start a new lettuce garden in the Farm+, Top Left Garden. Today, I ended the single odd-ball tomato plant that had been living there. Here's the new plan... At this point, our first camping reservations are for the end of June, so I figure there's plenty of time to grow and enjoy some lettuce and the AG Pods aren't getting any younger!

Nice to see another garden begin.
When you leave for camping, how long are you usually gone for?

Generally, we go out for about 10 days a month. We like to start in March and go thru September. Sometimes later. Many of our trips are to State parks and they limit the stay to 10 days during the warmer months, so that's what we do. This year, we're waiting for Mikey to have a couple of procedures. Getting closer. He's having an ultra sound on Friday and sounds like the next procedure will be thru OSU, as they have a specialty team there and the VA's team is booked for months out.

Oh, my gosh! The day just gets away from me! At 1:00pm, I realized that I had not yet started the new lettuce garden, as planned. So, I quickly set about the task. Filling the bowl with fresh water, picking out pods, pre-soaking the pods, inserting them, covering the deck holes with covers, placing the domes over the pods, lowering the lights to 8-inches above the deck, and resetting the app on the phone/Farm. Whew! Tasks done, I checked the clock...1:07pm! Seemed longer! I would have been done sooner, but Fed Ex interrupted me to deliver the new Farm 24XL. Pictures to come when there's something to see. Nutes will be added about that same time.

LOL, I know it's always seems like it takes longer to do. Congrats on the new addition. What will you plant? Or will you wait until after camping trip?

Thanks Shawn and Sher! I'm not sure what I'll plant, but it will be later in the year. We plan to assemble it this weekend, just to make sure it is all there...LOL. And to admire it too! I'm thinking it will be used to grow taller tomato plants, but plans can be subject to change...LOL. I'm sure I'll continue to read and post thru the camping season. I have a wifi hot spot that travels with us and I need something to do in the mornings! Mikey doesn't get up until the pups tell him too, so I'm usually up an hour or two earlier.

Camping is our way of vacationing with the whole family! We were attracted to it because the dogs could come with us...back then, there were very few hotels and/or motels that would allow pets. Both Stanley and Cadie learned about camping from their start with us! That was their "first" new home...LOL. Cadie loved it from the start. We set her down and she walked over to Stanley, gave him a play bow & started running. He followed, but the furniture went flying as she was only 5 pounds and could run under things that he just didn't fit anymore. LOL. Now, Stanley, he loved the RV until he woke up and realized he didn't have his littermates anymore. And that boy has a set of lungs! He cried the entire 4 hour trip to get home. Ugh! But he loves it now. He just had to learn to love it.

Day 2: All pods have something happening in them, except maybe 1 of the Marvels of 4 Seasons. Not above the label yet, but proving to be alive!!

Day 3: Added one more (& the last of them) Marvels of 4 Seasons to the Lettuce Garden. As back-up to the slow poke.

Day 4: Most have poked their heads above the label, so I've added Ionic Grow nutes, 1.25 oz. Looking forward to homegrown lettuce again!

Day 5: The newer Marvels of 4 Seasons has germinated and showing tiny leaves. The first MO4S remains the same, nothing happening. That's okay, since the replacement pod is catching up to the others now!

It always amazes me how fast replacements catch up to their neighbors.
Maybe they are trying to compete for light. Or maybe they just don't want to be the runt!
