Hello and welcome.
I have never grown Bamboo so I am unsure. I assume you will be growing outdoors. However I found a few sites that may assist.

Bamboo is extremely invasive, roots can run very long distances and break up roadways and driveways. Bamboo that is not encased in metal troths is outlawed in our town so make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. It can cause serious damage to your drive way and many other things. My cousins had it along their driveway and had to pay a specially company to dig it out with heavy equipment.. think it cost them over $4000 to have it removed and they still needed to have the driveway replaced due to the damage. Just make sure you know all the pros and cons before you let that stuff loose on your property. 5 reasons not to plant bamboo in your yard

I was going to say, you'll just need ONE and you'll end up with a forest. Then I read the other posts and I'm going to strongly agree with airscapes on this one! A neighbor of my Mom's, many years ago, planted them along their mutual fence line. Mom had to get a new fence and beg them to remove the stuff. Anywhere I see it, I just shake my head. Why do you want bamboo? Do you have plans to build with it or something? There's a guy up here that does that, way back in the hills. I kind of assume he grows it too. Would Heavenly Bamboo be something you might enjoy, instead? I know, completely different, but it is beautiful, not invasive and makes a nice addition to cut flowers or just in a vase on its own?

Wow... It is really incredible

Our local trash collector forbids placing bamboo of any kind in the green yard waste bins.

Hopefully the member has a plan for containing the stuff. Someone planted bamboo in one of the townhouse patios in my HOA, and I saw how it was spreading when doing an HOA Board property walkthrough. I think that the HOA made them pay to take it out. Fortunately my house was a long way away. Bamboo looks so cute, pretty, and harmless in those desktop gardens that you buy (or used to be able to buy) at big box stores!
