It is normal for bottom cucumber leaves to discolor. It is not normal for them not to vine upwards.
It could be that it is too cool for them, not enough light, or the wrong nutrient balance.
Those are my guesses, anyway.
Hopefully someone else can give you more specific advice.

Looks pretty normal to me, the bottom leaves on my cucumber plant all look terrible and it still produces well, and the top leaves are healthy. They just tend to dry out and die like that after a while as it puts on new leaves. At 28 days my plant looked about that size, though I don't think the leaves on mine got quite that big - may just be a difference in plant breed, what kind of cucumber did you plant? It doesn't look like it from the photo, but has it started trying to vine up yet? Mine had started to put out tendrils to climb with at that point. Unfortunately this is my first time growing cucumbers hydroponically, so I can't comfortably give advice other that making sure you feed it on time. I was a couple days late with the nutrients on mine on the 3rd feeding and the plant wilted pretty good. It perked right back up after feeding, so I caught it soon enough to save it, but they seem to be hungry plants compared to peppers, which is what I usually grow.

You have a cucumber! And blooms! I'm just starting to grow cucumbers, so I don't know whether you should have more cucumbers by now. If it were me, I'd at least harvest the cuke and wait a little longer to see what the plant does. Some cukes have male and female flowers that require hand pollination. Are you pollinating the blooms? The plant certainly looks healthy!  |

Have a look at the roots. If they're white to medium brown, then the plant is probably okay. Dry and dried out leaves seem to be common with cukes. My 20-day-old cukes already have a yellow edging on the oldest leaves, but the plants look healthy overall. This photo was taken two days ago, and you can see the edges starting to yellow.
