I can't believe that they will last a year! I am going to have to try this method next summer when I have enough jalapeños to try. All you need to do is keep them in the refrigerator and they will last a year? I'm in! Thanks guys.

I've had three major harvests from these plants and still have beauties like this coming out.

Those are so beautiful, mike! I hope that my current poblano seedlings turn out even half as well.

Wow, mike! I hope you will be able to keep that plant going, if possible.

Funny how these Poblanos ripen. The ones on the old Bounty turn a rich chocolate brown. The ones on the new Bounty turn red. They all came from the same seed pack from Organo Republic on Amazon. All are fruity sweet with a nice kick. I'm grilling these three with a chicken breast for dinner tonight. What a true pleasure. My mouth still tingles from the heat. The fully brown pepper tasted the best. The one with some green was the hottest. All gardens are shut off now. Only a few Poblanos, Jalapenos and Hot Bananas left to be taken down this weekend.

They look wonderful mike. Thrilled they tasted good too. I may head over there to get some seeds. I have yet to grow Poblanos.

Hi Mike, I'm trying my luck at hydro gardening this winter I'm going to try my luck at Poblano peppers in hydro instead of dirt. I had a great harvest this summer in my outdoor garden, now to try indoor. I found all your posts Great but can't find Nutes anywhere. What are Nutes. Thanks

Nutes are shorthand for nutrients, ron!

Nutes is short for Nutrients. We have a whole section on them here. You will see in some posts Mooch. That is short for Mr. Mucha-Stash a calcium supplement that is hard to find now so Calimag too that over.
As you read thru the forum you will find a lot of helpful information. If you can not find, please feel free to reach out. Please keep us posted on how your plants are doing. We love when our members share. You can read up on how to post pictures in this post.
Again Welcome!

Sorry I didn't see this before Ron. For some reason I didn't see there was anything new on it.

I just received Aerogarden Bounty Elite. I want to grow poblanos, jalapeños, cilantro, and basil. Is it possible to grow all in the same pot? I keep seeing Nutes being added for the poblano thread. I was wondering which brand. I'm going to order some of the CaliMagic and Liquid Kool Bloom. I really have no idea what I'm doing to get started and would love any guidance. Thanks!

Hi,
You could grow one plant each of the poblano and jalapeno peppers. But you don't want to put the herbs with them. Herbs and greens can be grown together, but fruiting plants take much longer and the roots from the herbs would end up taking root space away from the peppers.

Welcome to Aerogarden Addicts, jennt and congratulations on getting a Bounty Elite! Mike's reference to Nutes in this poblano thread means the Aerogarden nutrients. Correct me if I'm wrong, mike . I just started growing peppers in a couple of Bounty units (25 days ago but whose counting, lol) and have found the section on peppers and Mike's posts about the peppers he is growing to be super helpful and inspirational, too.
