Right now, I have four harvests on the island between kitchen and dining areas. Teal, black, white, red.
As noticed elsewhere, the display on my teal harvest just quit working. And, due to me flooding it with too much water due to a mis-positioned aerovoir, the backlight on my red gave up the ghost. The teal garden, I'm upset about; the red is my mistake.
Right now, I have an Aerogarden Farm Plus sitting on my dining room table. It was meant to go on the floor underneath the lip of the island, but given that I'm old and fat, bending over cuts off the circulation to my head, so I haven't been crazy about that idea.
Since four harvests have the same grow space as a farm plus, and since the farm plus is a tall garden, I'm thinking of terminating what's in the harvests, putting them away, and moving the farm plus to the area they now occupy.
And the thought of two buckets to refill instead of four, even if it's an overall greater volume than the four harvests... this also appeals to me.

Let's call it "Good natured and pleasingly plump". I can't tell the number of old machiines I had in the hall closet that didn't work. They ended up coming in handy for spare parts when the old working ones needed a new part that was easy for me to replace. I still do have spare machines in storage, but that number is dwindling. No more CFL..only LED's. So you are not alone in retiring your machines...particularly the small ones.

Sounds like the new normal.
Although, most of my friends would probably dispute the "good natured" part in my case.
