My baby sister gave me a baby Easter cactus. Yesterday there were nothing but fushia colored buds. But today.....
TAH DAH!!!!

I do not get enough sun for it in my north and east facing windows, so I am going to have to put it under lights.
I hope I can keep it healthy!

Is an Easter Cactus the same as a Christmas Cactus? My parents have something similar-looking with white flowers, but it only blooms in winter and they call it Christmas cactus. I love those pink blooms on yours!!

No, campingcorgis, they are two different species from different parts of the world. I'm too tired to look it up now.

That is an outrageously beautiful flower, Sher ! The colors are so delicate!  When I got it, the buds were a fuschia color. I was absolutely delighted to see the delicate beauties that emerged! |

I trimmed my Easter Cactus a couple of days ago and now I'm trying to root a couple of the cuttings. I have never been successful at propagating them but maybe the AG will help things along.

I got some nice roots on the Easter Cactus cuttings, so I decided to move them to soil. I will weather them off so they can live on the patio.
