On 7/17/22 I planted two of the Sweet Heat pepper seeds that Shawn was kind enough to mail me.
So far no action, but it's only been a week! I think I can kiiinda see a sprout maybe starting in one of them? I could be imagining things, though!

We're doing okay in Li'l Baby Peppersville:
Only one of the two I planted ended up germinating, but that's fine since I don't think it'd work out growing two peppers in a Harvest XL. This one had some nutrients after I posted that first picture and seems to be getting along well.

Looks good. You are on your way to Sweet Heats I can't wait!
The little pepper got some more nutrients today, and some calmag & hydrogen peroxide as well.
It seems to be content so far! And no sign of the dreaded spider mites that I was worried about, so I think that was a false alarm.

How is your plant coming along? Sorry for disappearing! A whole bunch of Life Stuff happened all at once.
The plant seems to be coming along well, and is putting out lots of little flower buds. I'm feeding it according to the Aerogarden food label and also giving it 2ml of calmag w/ every feeding. Next time I'll do an R&R since it hasn't had one yet.

Looks great! Yes, real life does get in the way at times.
If you want you can remove a couple of the lower larger darker leaves. That is what I do. Also if you see very dense areas remove a leave or two ONLY IF YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE. That will give some air flow if it starts to look like it needs it.
You are doing a great job with it.

Thank you Shawn! Today I did some pruning along with an R&R:
I still want to remove some more leaves, but I'm leery of doing too many at once because I don't want to stress the plant beyond what it will tolerate, especially if I'm also changing the water. So I'm taking it slowly.
Today it got 8 ml AG nutrients, 2 ml calmag, and a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide.
There's also a flower open!

Love your photos, areyoukittenme! My plants always love the R&Rs. Fresh water and nutrients seem to make them grow noticeably faster!

It's been growing very vigorously since the R&R: In fact, it's been growing so well we have a little baby pepper! How big are these peppers meant to get before harvest, Shawn ? Are they going to turn colors when they're ripe?

Look at the lovely pepper. I have only harvested them when red. Yes they will change color.

Thanks for the reply Shawn ! I did some more pruning today: So now there's much more room for air flow, which I can only imagine will help. Also I think it looks prettier 😅
And here's a close up of the first pepper:
It's growing pretty fast! It's not alone anymore either, as you can probably see in that picture.

Love your photos, areyoukittenme! The Sweet Heats seem to like to hide inside a thicket, don't they? I need to prune my pair, to find out what they're really up to. They are growing upwards on both sides of the LED light, unlike any other peppers that I've tried.

I've been removing any growth that goes outside the lights on this one or I'm sure it would be doing the same as yours.

The pepper plant is going strong, and setting loads of fruit! I haven't pruned it since last time, and it hasn't seemed to need it much either. I suspect it's using most of its energy for fruiting instead of growing more leaves.
All those little peppers! I had to pick the first one that grew because it had wedged itself directly in the center of the plant and if I let it get any bigger it was going to start pushing the branches apart. So, I chopped it up and made stir fry with it Looking forward to having some ripe ones, too! This has been lots of fun Shawn , thanks for suggesting it!
