I've only picked one so far, and none of the others have reached the same size yet, so it's hard to say. But if the 9 that I have growing manage to get close to the same size as the one that I picked, there's a good chance that it would make a decent side dish for 3. Day 66:

VERY PRETTY and picturesque. Now a good recipe is in order for these beauties. Anyone know for sure if AG FB is still giving away free kits for the Friday Photo of the Week like before? This project is surely a winner IMO.

Nice shot of these purple gems.
@cornne, yes I think so as I saw someone win the other day.

I recently saw someone win Photo of the Month and was struck by that as a change in schedule. I donโt know anything for sure though.

When I first saw the tip of a pepper darkening, I thought it might be blossom end rot, but a week later, I started seeing purple streaks on other peppers! They're starting to change colors! But I'm also noticing a lightening and spotting on some of the leaves at the top...

It's Day 84 and most of the peppers under the canopy are ripening! I've already picked 4 of them. Family was in town last Friday so I picked 6 of the eggplants and brought them over. The view from below: The view from above during today's rinse-and-refill (I think I forgot to give them Mooch last week):

You are so close to the best part of a project, Adrian. Tasting them! For me, my favorite taste test on new peppers is thinly sliced, thrown in with scrambled eggs, extra sharp cheddar cheese, green onions, fresh garlic, basil and cilantro. The perfect culmination of a project.

The peppers are good. Great size for a low carb/ketogenic diet. It's Day 110 and the eggplants are trying to take over the entire machine. I've roasted a few in avocado oil on several occasions and the taste reminds me of potato chips!

Did you roast them whole or sliced?

I was thinking about ordering those. I've been looking at a lot of the "patio" seeds.

Sliced. I noticed something this morning when I picked 4 more - two were dark purple and the other two were yellow/purple. (Looked like yellow layered over purple.) The two that were purple had no seeds. The yellowish ones both had lots of seeds. Is this kind of thing common with hybrids?
