Has anyone grown Laura #5 microdwarf tomato? I just started some seeds in a Harvest 360 and will move them to a Bounty after one opens up in a few days. According to descriptions, the plant grows to about one foot tall and bears bi-colored red tomatoes with faint yellow stripes. The tomatoes are a grape type. Two gardeners in another group recommended this tomato. The seeds came from an Etsy shop called The Wheel Seeds and they germinated quickly. I’ll keep you posted as things move along. I’ve grown a lot of tomatoes outdoors but these are among my first efforts at growing microdwarfs indoors. So I’ll likely be bugging you experienced growers with questions.

Sorry, no experience with Laura #5, katyag247. My two attempts at dwarf tomatoes have produced plants that stopped growing after loading up with myriad baby tomatoes--apparently because they were out of energy. So something to watch for may be overloading. Pruning to reduce the total crop got my plants going again. .

The Laura #5 seedlings are up and growing nicely. They're so cute!! In the near future, I'll get set up so I can share some pics. Growing microdwarf tomatoes indoors has been much more fun than anticipated and has caused some overenthusiasm. What can I say? So I also started seeds for a microdwarf called Groovy Tunes. Have any of you seen it or grown it? It has chartreuse foliage and two seedlings are doing well. Estimates on height vary from 1-2 feet based on container size when grown outdoors but one person suggested that it might stretch to 3 feet indoors depending on the available light. If it gets a bit too tall for the Bounty Elite, I'll borrow an idea from scarfguy and place additional lighting overhead.
