Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and wasn't sure where to post this question. I hope this is okay to post here.
I live in the US and have an AeroGarden Harvest, but I am relocating to the UK and want to bring my AG with me. Does anyone know if I can use my AG there with a simple plug adapter as you might with any other non-UK plug, or if I would need to purchase a completely new power cord? I know that the voltage differs as well; I haven't had any issues with this with other products I have brought to the UK from the US but I'm not sure if this will affect my AG.
Any information, insight, or resources are much appreciated!
Thanks! Brittany

Welcome to the forum!
The harvest has an external power supply.
It is rated as follows: input: 100-240Volts 0.8Amps output: 12Volts 2.5Amps
The UK is probably on the 240 volt standard as is the rest of Europe.
SO... it should work fine with just the standard wall plug adapter.

Welcome to the Forum. If there are any issued, AG may have separate Power adapters they can send/sell. This is a good questions, one that I have not seen arise yet.
On a different note, I hope your move goes smoothly!

Yes, the UK is on 240v, so I will definitely give this a try! Thank you so much.

Thanks so much! I actually emailed their customer support and got a fairly standard answer that let me know that any products purchased in the US and used outside the country void the warranty. I think they used to sell some UK products on Amazon but they don't have any UK specific adapters now, maybe this didn't too well in the UK? Surprising because of the weather there! I appreciate your help and can't wait to become more involved in the forum.

any 240 to 120 adapter should do the trick, just try to stay away from the cheaper convertors they use cheap parts and are notorious for having small power spikes that can fry your units.

It is possible to use an AeroGarden Harvest in the UK with a simple plug adapter. However, the difference in voltage between the US and the UK may cause issues, so it would be a good idea to check the specifications of your AeroGarden to see if it can handle the voltage difference. It's also a good idea to check the specific requirements for plug adapters in the UK to ensure that your device is safe to use with the adapter. If you are unsure, it may be best to contact the manufacturer for further information or to see if they have any recommendations.
