So let me ask... Do you use labels when planting seeds or not? Also why?
Me, I use labels. They discourage algae and mold. I personally found when you do not use them the pods get green and can mold.m I have not had mold but yes to green.

I use labels, too, to minimize the light exposure. I no longer go through the trouble of ironing them on, though, because 1. It’s a pain and 2. You can sometimes reuse them if they’re not glued down. I also cut a slit through one side of them so I can remove them from a seedling once it gets big enough to block the light on its own. Then I can reuse them. That is, if I remember to remove them.

Mary I do the same thing, cut one side completely to remove easier. I had a while back bought plain labels and the batch I received I need to trim in order to get hte domes to fit on, But that is not a huge deal, just a little trim around the edges and they are good to go.

THe AG ones. But I have also made my own when I needed them. Of course the AG ones are better as they have that coating so thet do not get wet and light will not get thru.
