What a shame, scarfguy. I hate spider mites. We sometimes get them on our cypress and arbor vitae plants outdoors. Luckily I've never had them in an AG.

Ladybugs love spider mites.
Indoors? Not a problem according to this lady --

Right.. ladybugs in the house...
SO... I got the ladybugs to eat the mites Then I had to get frogs to eat the ladybugs Then I had to get snakes to eat the frogs Then I had to get raccoons to eat the snakes NOW, how do I get rid of these black bears?

Scarfguy, the labels are in Chinese not Korean… I happen to be literate in Chinese and Korean (to a lesser extent).
From left to right: 苏州青 (google is showing baby bokchoy images for this one), 鸡蛋大白菜(literally translates to egg big bokchoy / cabbage, can’t find this variety on google), 天津麻叶 (google search returns a longish type of Napa)
Hope that helps!

Hee Hee!
TODAY, I got some seeds I ordered from a small Etsy seller (https://www.etsy.com/shop/foodgrower).
They had a bunch of interesting varieties of Korean napa cabbage so I ordered 3 different varieties.
This is how they came in the envelope, no invoice, no labels.
When I started gardening with Aerogardens, I didn't realize that I'd have to learn Korean!
Re-posting my reply cause I forgot to quote scarfguy the first time Scarfguy, the labels are in Chinese not Korean… I happen to be literate in Chinese and Korean (to a lesser extent). Today I looked at three AGs that are overdue for nutrients and a water change, and decided to continue clearing stuff out of the garage instead! But... I also harvested fresh Merlot leaves and Veranda Red tomatoes to go along with burgers and fries.

Today I got the water and nutrients changed on those three pesky AGs (all Bounties). In two days, the water is due to be changed on two Farm 12XLs and another Bounty. I added some AG nutrients to one of the Farms, because the Homeslice tomato has some yellowish leaves. (It's likely that I won't get more R&Rs done so soon after today's effort.)

Forgot to mention something new to me: About an hour after refilling the Bounty with Merlot lettuce, I returned and noticed that the leaves seemed perkier. Well, I guess so! The water level indicator had dropped from completely full to medium during that hour. The lettuce really drank up the fresh water. The water level was at medium when I drained the reservoir. That operation produced at least 3/4 gallon of water, so it wasn't like the lettuce hadn't had adequate water available!

I'm working to shut down the two Harvest Elites with Rouge d'Hiver and Parris Island. Final harvest -- I got a gallon bag full of Parris Island yesterday, and I just picked two colanders of Rouge and Parris today. Nice haul. Meanwhile, the Merlot and the Jericho are getting big enough to eat once I finish up the Rouge and Parris. (And lynnee, you are so right. That Merlot is some thirsty stuff. I know I just watered it a couple of days ago, and it wanted more today. Feed me, Seymore.) And the Gaea's Blessing buttercrunch continues to suck. It still looks like it did two weeks ago -- I'm wondering -- Can I just pop some other seeds in there. Maybe some chives. The sponges are all nice and wet. And in non-Aerogarden news -- Look what I got at the grocery for 29 cents apiece -- Yep -- Those are Hatches. This is the second batch at this wonderful low price. First batch got chopped and frozen and also made into sofrito. Spanish omelette for breakfast. Or maybe dinner tonight.

somebody turned me on to this little gem a couple of years ago: Very simple and well worth the money.
You know that's going on my next Amazon order, even if I can't spread cream cheese with it. (And I didn't break a single tab. Or fingernail.) This little gizmo absolutely kicks ass. It is ever so slightly thinner than a table knife, and it popped the deck of a Harvest in a no time. I felt like I was in the rodeo roping calves -- 1 . . . 2 . . . . 3 . . . . Done! I highly recommend it if you value your fingernails. Thanks, scarfguy .

The Spanish omelet looks very tasty Clovis Sangrail I want that . Just adding seeds on top of those duds hmmmmmm I would dry the sponges out first since it has already been a few weeks . I usually get a white fuzz in the center hole and then algae around the top of the sponge but, I reuse my no sprouts all the time. I dry the sponge out for 3 or 4 days. Take a toothpick twirl out the seeds ,then I cut off the top 1/16 inch of the sponge and load it back up.

I was hoping I could get away with just going down the row and popping some seeds, but once you mentioned white fuzz and algae, I gave them the ol' sniff test, and they did not pass. There is a definite hint of mildew. Not good, so I won't be short-cutting the new planting.

Love your photos, Clovis Sangrail! And thanks for the laugh with the reference to Two-ey. (Ever since we saw the movie, our garbage disposals are named Two-ey.) Our latest Merlot lettuce head is now supplying leaves for great burgers. 🥬

Today I did three overdue R&Rs, and started two new Bounty gardens. One is a superdwarf tomato (6-8" high) called "Orange Hat"; the other has three new-to-me lettuces called "Crisp Mint", "Devil's Ear", and "Tennis Ball". They are romaine, dark red leaf, and compact head lettuces, respectively. All four plants are from Baker's Creek Rare Seeds. The "Orange Hat" was a bonus freebie (as was my first "Merlot").

I love the orange hat! It’s so manageable - I have it in a Harvest XL since a year ago and it’s still going strong!

The water intake from day 25 on my cucumbers is really sucking the water now from the aeroVoir I was kinda curious how it was going to go.. first I had the level too high and I kept seeing it filling the bounty and I had to quickly take off the extended base because I didn't want a flood. So far everything is good it's a good view of seeing how long it would last.. I assume without it by the end of the week (maybe sooner) I'd be out of water.
