I'm sanitizing one side of a Farm Plus for herbs. I'm planting 2 Large Leaf Italian Organic Basil, 2 Italian Flat Leaf Organic Parsley, and 2 Fernleaf Dill. I'll plant them tomorrow morning.

Sounds like a nice mix, mike. I found quite a lot of AG parsley pods when I was "organizing" earlier and thought that I need to start some. You have inspired me!
I also got a packet of cilantro seeds and I'll be using some "grow anything" sponges to start some of those. Anyone know of any problem growing parsley and cilantro in the same unit?

Parsley and cilantro should be okay together, because AG used to include both in a 9-pod herb seed kit for the early Bounties. Both can be slow to germinate and to grow, especially if you've had the seeds or kits around for a while.

Finally! They are in. Some of the nutrient buildup wouldn't come off with citric acid and baking soda. That's a first for me. I planted 2 pods each of the dill, parsley and basil. Added 10 ml AG Nutes. SLW, you can mix greens and herbs. But don't grow them with fruiting plants.

I am still waiting on my dill to come up. My Aerogarden pod didn’t come up so I bought fresh seeds and added them and still nothing.

The basil is coming in faster than I can use. I'm harvesting dill now, too. I wish the parsley would get in gear. I don't think they are getting enough light.

I find that parsley is always slow growing, as are chives... the bane of my existence. (This week I've been fighting with cilantro which has me in a perpetual bad mood.) Seems like each time I start dill and basil, they both take off and are a foot tall before I see any sign of life from parsley pods.
I'm a weirdo because I don't even like basil (gasp), but I like to grow it. It makes me feel accomplished, lol.

Yea, basil is a confidence booster allright...
I've been growing an "italian herb garden" (parsley, oregano, basil) in a harvest XL. The last go round, I started the parsley and oregano first and planted the basil about a month later. That worked really well. After another month or so, they were all competing equally for light and space.

My favorite application is green smoothies. I've been taking 4 leaves each of the pac choi and lettuce, along with at least 3 leaves of basil, a couple sprigs of dill, 2 eggs, a scoop of protein powder, 1/2 can pinto beans, frozen blueberries, an apple, a banana, water and a splash of vanilla. I throw those in the Vitamix for 30 seconds. That makes 2 days smoothies. All the fruit and veggie requirements I need for the day. And it replaces a meal. It's kind of gross to look at, but it's tasty.
