This video has me wondering if it would be possible to grow one single watermelon in a Bounty.
To me the video seems to show a single watermelon growing in each spot (with some pruning).
A way would need to be devised to have the actual melon sit just outside the Bounty. That would be totally cool if it was possible.

That would be so cool! What I'm wondering is just how often one might have to water a watermelon vine in a Bounty!
I love how they have their little padded nest to sit on!
Very neat video, thanks!

Watermelon is on my list to try. It's really not much different than the cantaloupe I'm already growing.
There are a lot of small "mini" watermelon that would probably be light enough to be suspended with my existing trellis system.
You could certainly do a large single watermelon sitting on the floor beside the bounty it's growing in.
You would have to be very selective as to which flowers you pollinate so that you get a melon to grow the right distance from the base of the vine to lay nicely beside the bounty.

Watermelon? Ugh! That's one that I'll definitely pass on. Can't for the life of me see what anyone sees in watermelon. It's an interesting AG challenge project, though.

The AG Experiments guy is doing a Golden Midget watermelon in a Bounty! This literally popped up in my feed last night!

...You could certainly do a large single watermelon sitting on the floor beside the bounty it's growing in... I was thinking of an upside down storage container about the same height as the bounty.
