Two pepper plants in this Bounty: one that I sprouted and can't remember what it was, and another "Craig's Grande Jalapeno."

A few weeks later, and they're both coming along quite nicely

I've been neglecting these lately. Let the Aerovoir run dry and the water still got so low that it was beeping at me. Not that they seem to have suffered any long-term damage Did a dump and refill yesterday, upped the "Ok, start blossoming now" nutes and had to raise the hood to the maximum of the bottom section.

And the mystery peppers are indeed blossoming. Looking forward to seeing what they are.

Yes, they keep doing that, and I'm kicking myself for not pruning them while still young.

Ah, to prune or not to prune, that is always the question. This is why we need taller hood arms/posts/extenders, lol.

Woke up this morning to a very loud, unhappy sounding noise. Eventually determined that it was the pump in this garden.
Turned out that I did NOT get a low water warning, nor did the Aerovoir drain its jug. It was, in fact, still 3/4 full.
Yet, I stuck my finger into the basin and it was darn near bone dry.
Filling the basin immediately silenced the pump, which still seems to be pumping strongly.
Later today, I dumped and refilled.
All kinds of blossoms on this plant. Hope they start setting soon.

I hate when that happens.

Yikes, you never want to let them get dry, and chance burning a pump out

I know. Still miffed at the low water sensor not going off AND the Aerovoir siphon stopped refilling it. Dual failures. Sigh.

And, I come home last night and as soon as I walk in, it starts making that "dry pump" noise again.
Sigh. I really have to do a better job of watching this one, given that the indicator on the front simply isn't working at all. At least this time, I drained the aerovoir as well.
Both plants have set fruit, and while the Jalapenos look much as I'd expect, I'm getting a first view of the left-hand "mystery pepper" and can now say that it's starting to look like Anaheims.

This thing has set a bunch of jalapenos, and I have to refill the aerovoir every couple of days.
Looking more and more at the left-hand "mystery pepper" plant, I'm starting to reevaluate. I'd thought it was anaheims, but they don't seem to be developing like anaheims. In fact, the pepper these immature greens remind me of is the Bulgarian Carrot. So, who knows? Maybe I have a second plant.
This one looks a heck of a lot healthier than the one in the Ultra. Maybe those 15 extra watts of light make a big difference.
