www.etsy.com/listing/1181513033/aerogarden-bounty-and-bounty-elite-light?It's $60, but for those planting taller plants, might be worth the convenience? Somebody has like 5 trellis tiers under this! I'm sorta tempted for trying to grow snow peas, that's something I love, but expensive at the store... Could be fun for those peppers/tomatoes that just go a wee bit too tall for the normal Bounty light extension.

I bought one of those and also the light extensions for Harvests. I used one on a Harvest 360 but I have never used the others. I have bought a lot of "seemed like a good idea at the time" stuff from Etsy!!

I have 2 of the Bounty light extensions. Currently using one for my Thai chili plant. The Bounty light extensions can be used as needed. When the plant begins to reach the top of the regular light height, unplug the Bounty, install the extension, plug the Bounty back in, and tell the Bounty the power went out.

My thought on those extensions...
Since the light hood of the bounty is easily removable, I have found it much better to remove the light and suspend an external light source above the bounty. The advantages of this approach over the extension is that, you can purchase a much better (stronger) light panel (100 watt) that will have more penetration. With the extension, your light is getting way too far away from the lower leaves to be useful. This approach also allows you to adjust the height beyond the length of the extension as necessary (within reason).
You need:
1. someway to suspend the light. Hooks in the ceiling or a garment rack will do the trick. These are what I have used:
2. a good quality light source: I like the Aerogarden light panels: You can also buy the identical panels sold under a different brand called "black magic" If you want a little more power, I've got a few of these 100 Watt lights I like a lot.
AND... 3. you need a timer for the light: These have worked very well for me. They are a bit confusing as to how to set the timing but once you figure it out, they work very well:

YES, all of that is quite a bit more expensive than the extension sold on Etsy.
I think what sold me on the idea is that I no longer worry or even consider what the height of the plant is going to be. My plants can easily grow to 3-5 feet without concern. They are happy plants when given their natural growing size.

My thought on those extensions... But at some point you are talking a grow tent, which is fine, but maybe not now.
