These are the AG cucumber pods (two) in my Bounty. They are doing well at 41 days old. I have about four or five good size cucumbers on one plant and three on the other. This is the largest of them with the rest of the sizes only about a 1/4" off on each. I searched and see that you should harvest below 4" in length. This is just under 4", but isn't very large around, which is why I've waited. I'm not sure how big around they should be. I have dozens of babies waiting to grow and I know they won't until I start harvesting. Should I harvest it now for the best flavor or let it go a bit? I don't want it to get bitter. I hate bitter (strong word, but it's true).

Looks ready to me! I have had terrible luck growing cukes in my Bounty. I finally started some seeds and then moved them outside where they are growing like crazy!

Thanks scarfguy LoveSalads and swimmom500 - I thought it was time but wanted to make sure. I believe these are parthenocarpic, but I still used a toothbrush on them every morning just to wake them up. I guess it worked! Depending on the taste (will find out today) I would definitely grow them again. I hope the ones I cut from this plant survive.

CatHerder, I eat the Mini Munch and AG cukes when they are 2-1/2" to 3" long and about as thick as my middle finger. (I have large hands for a woman.) I also eat the cukes when they are 6" long and fat like a grocery store cuke. This happens when the vines succeed in hiding the fruit behind a support post or something else!

I should have harvested them sooner. Once I started cutting them off, I saw some baby cucumbers that were yellow, so I trimmed all the dead ones off. Hopefully the feeding of nutrients will restart the vine to grow more. I found hidden ones as well. Ended up with six!
