Interested in this project! and ..just googled it and this is the first delicate looking flower that I have seen labeled "can handle frost" and the planter is encouraged to plant the seed before the last frost rather than after!

thanks,, but I am all planed out and set for the spring/summer. However, I will definitely be following this.Get ready for the Monarchs! I grew for monarchs one year and what I planted did bring them! Last year I planted for bees and got tons with dahlias. I ordered some Dalia bulbs this year again because I never dug up the last year's set. (not a bulb person)..but if it is bees ya want...marigolds and dahlias! Great for the vegetables!

If these look nice I will be sure to plant some in containers I hang on the deck. I like butterflies better then bees. Especially when Proxy and I are sitting outside. I do not have a garden so I do not need veggies pollinated outdoors.

My basic alysum from Home Depot didn't die until we had that prolonged cold spell at the end of December. Until then it looked great through *multiple* frosts 😊

While the package states 10 to 14 days germination, all the pods have green in and on them. Pictures tomorrow.

Depending on how these grow I may (or may not) remove a pod or two. @cornne, any suggestions? Do you think 6 pods will be ok> Should I thin each pod if too many germinate?

These were quick to germinate, and are slower growers (at least right now). Yes there is some green on the pods. I have since taken a qtip with peroxide and gently dabbed it off.

I know these do not get very high and they are only about 3/4 to an inch high but it appears that at least 4 (pictured are only three) are getting buds. Can this be? If so I am getting excited
