The lettuce fields are in full production now, with some new varieties. And I think I have dug through my boxes and used up all the AG Mystery Greens. So today, I harvested some Merlot (love this stuff) and some Jericho Cos -- And still had plenty left -- And we're walking . . . To the right, we have a Harvest with 4 Yedikule cos -- And below that, a Harvest Slim with some Tennis Ball Buttercrunch. This one developed some brown spots a while back, and I don't think it was from the light. It's also not forming little tennis balls, although it is trying. And finally, to the left, a Harvest Slim with more Merlot. Lots of salads for Chez Clovis. (Also, I just cleaned a Harvest and a Harvest Slim. The Harvest is going to get some chives when the new seeds get here, and the Slim might get some more Yedikule cos, cos I like how it grows.)

Clovis is the "LETTUCE KING!"
Try some Mizuna. It's a nice "weed" for your salads. Grows really fast in an AG and has a nice crunchy taste.

Thanks, but as many a philosopher and scientist has said -- I stood on the shoulders of giants. Everything I know about this stuff I learned from you good people, so a hearty "Thank ye" to all. I'll look into Mizuna. I'm looking into watercress, too, because I like those little sandwiches. (I am following pfunnyjoy's Watercress Garden in Harvest Slim Elite with great interest.)

I'm not sure I've done Mizuna in an AG, but I've done it outside and liked it! AND ... I have some pink Mizuna seeds from Baker Creek, and hope to start a garden with those in the near future.

I harvested a head of Tennis Ball (and I use the term 'head' loosely) -- It didn't last long because the tossed salad and scrambled eggs were calling. That's my 'guilty pleasure' salad dressing -- Catalina with blue cheese sprinkles on top. I stole it from Houlihan's back in the 70s. It was a big chef-style salad, but with butter lettuce, smoked turkey, provolone, and salami, along with the obligatory tomato wedges and hard-boiled eggs. And restaurant-made croutons. All topped with their 'special house blue cheese dressing,' which a small honorarium enticed the waiter to reveal came out of those big gallon jars of Kraft Catalina in the back, with blue cheese sprinkled on top. Those are store-bought Campari tomatoes. Good flavor and a nice size. I wish I could find something like that to grow in a Bounty. Any suggestions?

Let me wipe the drool off my face. Great thread about slicers aerogardenaddicts.com/thread/4255/slicing-tomatoes-8-4-23I had good luck with Paul Robersons(slicer) in the Farm which has the same height limit as the Bounty. I would only grow one maybe 2 if you want to see which one does better. If your willing to hang a light or, use a taller stand you can Bypass the 2 foot restriction and get a 100 watt light for like $60 and go 3 or 4 feet and get more Toms. That is of course after you max your height. I am growing some Cherry Toms in the farm and at 43 days I just maxed the light height.
