I am rather new to Kratky, and I am a bit confused about nutrient dosage.
So far, I have only grown Monte Carlo and Rabello romaine lettuce in 1 quart mason jars. I start the seeds directly on top of clay pebbles in 3" net pots. I use General Hydroponics Maxigro and start off with about a 3/4 strength solution.
Since I am growing romaine, the liquid level has to be replenished as the plants grow larger. When replenishing, am I supposed to add: -an adjusted diluted strength of Maxigro? -water only?
Right now, I am adding 3/4 strength solution when replenishing the liquid level, but I am getting some tip burn, so I am wondering if the nutrient solution is becoming too concentrated. I do have a fan to aid in transpiration. I know it could also be a pH imbalance that is preventing calcium uptake, but before I get into the complications of pH regulation (which I really don't want to unless I have to), I am wondering if I might be adding too much solution as the plants grow, and this is leading to tip burn. Or could there be other factors involved?
Any help is much appreciated.

With my Aerogardens I completely rinse and refill with new nutrients every one or two weeks adding only water inbetween. Start plants with a lower dosage.
