Why not take a moment to introduce yourself. Would love to know what machine(s) you own and what you have grown. Don't be shy, post away

Hi there I'm Jen, I just joined a few days ago. I recently bought an aerogarden harvest touch and I'm on day #4 of my first grow. I am starting with the 6 herbs kit. So far after 4 days i can see the thai basil, thyme, and genovese basil sprouting up. Hope to learn much from everyone here!

I have one on my Kitchen counter that always has Herbs growing. Basil is a fast grower and before you know it you will be harvesting it. Please post any questions you have and even a picture of your garden.

Thanks to both of you. It may have been a bad purchase because every time i walk by it i look at them all. I don't know what I'm expecting as I know nothing grows within a half hr but I'm too excited. Is cilantro an option to grow? We use alot of that.

However you also need to know it can take longer to germinate. I personally found that my own seeds germinated faster and better then the AG Pods. AG Pods work but I like the ones I grow better. I actually always have a large containers of Cilantro, Basil, Oregano and Thyme in my freezer for use when I do not have fresh. Here is a Cilantro and Oregano Garden I had a little over a year ago. They were planted and in 15 days you can see how my cilantro is coming up and the oregano takes longer (1st pic). Then at 1 month and 23 days (2nd pic) they are filled out and I also have been snipping at them as well.

You think it's bad now! Wait until they really get going. You'll be hovering over them like they're newborn babies. You'll be fighting that herb jungle pretty quickly. It's like they're on steroids, grown hydroponically.
I topped my month old tomato plants and fed them their Nutes and first time CALiMAGic the other day. This morning, when the lights went on at 5:00am, I was shocked how much they'd grown/spread seemingly overnight. All I could think of was the plant from Little Shop of Horrors!

Kate, that garden was from a year ago. I am always growing Basil and Cilantro and they both grow like mad which I love! I do have a tendancy of keeping them manicured but clipping and pinching often. This also helps it from going to seed I find.

I should have quoted it.

Alright...since I’ve only posted once and that was in response to a thread on the grow bowl, here goes. My name is Steve. I’m recently retired and it was really my wife who got the Aerogarden thing going. My daughter actually had one several years ago. We now have.......4 of these things 2 bounty elites, 1 with the grow bowl strawberries (once I figure the photo thing out I’ll send photos) and 2 of the smaller units. Anyway like any good hobby should you have to keep adding...are you ready for it...accessories Since we’re heading out on a 10 day vacation I’ve ordered 2 of the AeroVoir thingamabobs that do that job of watering. Man here we go again!!! Anyway I’ve already said more in this one post than I’ll normally say in months. But I’ll continue to lurk and when the urge hits again I’ll be back!!!

Glad to have you here Steve even if it is just to lurk . As for the photos, here is a link that gives a few ways using a repository. This is a great hobby. I just started two years ago and have 9 units but only have 4 going at the moment. I will start two more soon but am waiting for some information on something else first. I look forward to seeing your pics and hearing from you in the future! d45692

Hi Jen and Steve! You’re in the right place for this hobby, that just grows and grows (no pun intended) It is a lot of fun; I never thought I’d get so involved, but I went from 2 machines to around 15 seemingly overnight. Welcome!

It's good to hear from you, Steve. Years ago, I was way too active online with groups. I used to raise show guppies and African Cichlids. I traveled a lot showing my fish, and was very active in the fish community. After an accident, I had to shut down my fishroom, which was painful on many levels. Anyway, I try to limit my online yakking, so I don't get glued to my computer, but it's still fun to share with like-minded people.

Hey guys. My name is Tyler. Just got an AG Bounty and gonna set it up today. I’m very excited to try this out. I really wanted to try a pepper or tomato on my first grow but I forgot order them. I ordered the Romain seed kit to go with the herbs the ag comes with.
