I'd remove it. If you let it (and others) to develop at this stage the plant will shift the plants energy to the blooms instead of developing a strong plant base. Ok so I am only removing that bud.

After looking at it better there were 4 buds, all carefully removed. I gather wait another week to top?

Yes, but it is growing faster than most. When you top it, not too low on this one.

Yes I cut the buds off and will wait another week to see what is going on. Tomorrow I add Mooch for the first time.

Here we are today. I broke one of those beginner starter leaves off while turning my plant this morning. I it grew. So here is a full shot and a close up. Should I still wait until Sunday to top? If so no problem, but if you think I should where should I do it?
I know I know, I know I should know this but I always worry. (too many knows LOL)

mike , the two top branch offs are getting buds now. Should I leave it and not top? Or should I top it and if so which place would be best? Would where the arrow are be best or somewhere else ? Again what do you think best, leave or top? Click on picture for full size..

I've been thinking about this one. Seeing the way the main branch split on it's own, I don't think you should top this one. The branches look nice and sturdy. I would still remove the buds for another 10 days or so.

Great, Thank you! They are pretty sturdy. And maybe it will not grow AS tall as they say Thanks again. Off to remove those buds

I cut the four lowest largest leaves off and turned the plant so that the back side can fill out and get some light. I did not top this one off.
Here is a close up and a distance shot

They look super. I find it interesting that the one plant split the main branch on its own, obviating the need for topping as Mike observed.

I wonder if I should post close close ups of the plants to show their stems and how they grow?

Your July 25 post has a good close up of the forked stem. Right before Mike’s post pointing it out.

Yes, I remember that one. We decided to leave it. I was wondering more of the Big Jim and should have posted it there. That one I think I was supposed to top but never did
