That is cute and especially if the flowers find their way thru the wire.

I do think it is more a temporary solution, though I am sure it could work if done right.

Well I ran out htis morning and when I got home I brought the garbage can to the back of hte house. I look up on the deck and this is what I see ...
I want to know what animal was up on that ledge and was so heavy to knock it off. I came inside, got some rubber gloves and TRIED my best to put it back together. I lost several plants. I could have spaced them better but my back is hurting today.
And here is the planter from the other day. This one they did not touch again.... yet... Again several plants did not make it.

You would think but there are none around me. At least none have ever been seen in the 14 years I am in this house.

I have no clue as they are still small unless it is something in the mix I use.

Do you think the 'buckle' just broke or wore out? Any tooth or claw marks?

I do not think it just broke on its own. I think it was from the weight of whatever was on it. One of the seedlings that was ruined had chew mark in the leaf. you can see it zig zag kinda.
As of 15 mins ago they were still intact.

Here are my two planters. Both attacked by what we think is a skunk. Which surprising has not been around for a few days. He was just passing thru doing destructive things I guess. I hope it was him as I do not want to put blame on something that it should not be on LOL Anyway here are my two planters.

No. I did nothing except the mother nature raining on them.

(I just went out to harvest after the rains and they had a grand ball even eating through the toms still attached to the plants. I picked some which were faint orange in color.)

I am telling you we need to figure out a way to keep them away from you.

I am done trying to grow toms. My bro said the only way I would be able to grow them is to put cages around them. And that'll never happen because I don;t want my yard looking like I am raising farm animals out there. beans and Peppers. I will find something else for the boxes for next year. I kind of look forward to something new, anyway.I should grow more string beans and put all those mason jars to good use, is what I should do.

Caught a huge squirrel red paw'd.
I opened the blinds to my sliding doors and I see the darn thing digging in my pot. I open the the door and it catapulted out while breaking the loop that holds it. BAM, it fell to the ground AGAIN!
So I took all the plants and set them aside. I picked up as much as I can and put the plants back in again. This time I no longer have them on the post but on the smoker and the other on the grill shelf.
