Hey, It's been a while since I've found an active AeroGarden community. I used to post GLOG's on another one a few years back but it was shut down. Just scrolling through the posts here I see many familiar names. Hope your all doing well and having much success in your gardening. I'm looking forward to starting some GLOG's here as well and seeing everyone else's. Here is a pic of my current Herb Garden. Contains Genovese Basil, Dark Purple Opal Basil, Mint and Thyme. Welcome - I personally stumbled along this forum after someone sent me a link to it on Reddit not that long ago. It definitely is a good group and there's a ton of good info here. Looking forward to seeing your posts/plants.
Btw what's a GLOG? - I am really noobish when it comes to Aerogardening.

Welcome goingreen! I bet I can name those who sound familiar. Was this your username on the other forum as well? If not you may want to post what it was so the ones you know can say hello.
I heard about that there was a forum several years back and then Corinne had one. When Corinne retired hers, I created this one so we can all stay and grow together.
Glad to have you here with the old and the new. Looking forward to your posts, garden updates and general talk!

Thank you for the Welcome's.
A GLOG is a Grow Log. I learned that from Corinne's forum a while back. Also, Yes Shawn this was my name on the old forum. Just no caps this time. Looking forward to seeing all the posts as well. It was fun before and I'm sure it will be just as fun this time.

I learned so much from @cornne's board, as well as the one before that. Thanks, Corinne! Shawn, thank you for continuing this informative and helpful community. PS. I think that my name was "Greens," but I can't remember.

I do not think we were on at the same time on Corinne's forum. The name does not sound familiar but then again I was only a member for the past two years. Were you posting then? If so I apologize for not remembering you.

Oh, yes, Shawn. I posted quite a bit on both boards. But I haven't been AG-ing for the last few years, so I guess that we haven't crossed paths until now.
In my signature I had said something like "No flowering plants in this allergic person's house." and "17 AG Classics." Are either of the old boards accessible, or have they disappeared into cyberspace?

I know the last one and only one besides this is Corinne's and in September will be a year that has closed and is since gone. I have no idea about the one before. I have only been AG'ing since February 2016. I found Corinne's forum in March 2016 I think.
Regardless, welcome back .. to a new home

Hi goingreen! Welcome back. I remember you - I’m so glad you found us again!
I like your mint. It looks like real/regular mint that you can buy in the grocery store but which grows gargantuan outdoors. What seed did you use?
Happycamper, I remember your handle/signature now that you mention it. But I forgot about the 17 machines - whew! I love it!!!

happycamper.. I think i remember the name greens and the thing about 17 machines. Then again a few people on the old board had a ton of machines lol. I still only have the 2. 1 is out of commission because i need new lights.
Hey Corinne and MaryL good to see you online again! I definitely remember you two.
Thanks MaryL... Yes the Mint looks good but honestly there is hardly any Mint smell or taste. It is very light. It grows great but i haven't been able to do much with it. I got the seeds at Lowe's the company is Ferry Morse and the packet was just labeled Mint.
Recently I've read if you want a strong tasting and smelling Mint like Peppermint, your best bet is to find a friend with it and ask for a clipping. Strains like Peppermint grow sterile so they do not produce seeds. I believe they are a cross of two other Mints. Also I've heard alot of Mints planted from seed do not grow true to the parent plant. So its hit or miss. I've been trying to find some for a longtime with no luck. I did find a Spearmint at Wal-Mart that smelled great but it was from outside and i didnt want to take a clipping indoors in case there were any lil bugs. Those guys can take over everything.
Well have a good one everyone!
