Great! Once one starts the rest follow suit. These peppers take a long time, but are well worth it.

It was time for a taste test on these. I was going to fill these with cream cheese and bacon. I wanted something sweeter this morning. I filled this Godfather Sweet Pepper with blueberry cream cheese, and decorated them with glazed walnuts. It was outstanding.

That looks yummy. Have you ever tried to make your own flavored Cream Cheese? I have made pineapple and peach.

No, but I'm always willing to learn. Do you have any links how to do it?

It is really simple. You take cream cheese, not the whipped and bring to room temperature. You then blend and mix in drained crushed pineapple and can use a little juice if needed. The peaches I diced small and mashed a few and did the same. I actually give Proxy he pill every morning with cream cheese and her favorite is blueberry. So I will go to the farm (and get fresh ones and mach some and blend in and throw a few whole ones in as well. My mom and done it with strawberries. I wonder how Banana would be , I may try that too. I am going to attempt it with whipped cream cheese, I just do not want it too thin. You may need to add sugar. In my case I use a sugar substitute.

I missed the Oct 21 update! I was wondering if you had gotten more to ripen and see that you had, Mike! The cheese filled one with the nuts looks like a great snack! Would you ever plant the Godfather again sometime as a project if you were looking for sweet pepper?

I have two ripe and two almost ripe. I haven't eaten any more since the first one. They are a delicious sweet pepper. I think these would be great outdoors, if you can keep the pests away.

I have in mind two of these beauties sliced in half and stuffed with garden vegetable cream cheese. Also, I have a couple of fresh country style pork ribs and a couple of small potatoes I'm throwing in the smoker, tomorrow. I hope this works out better than my first effort.
