Does anyone else think or notice that the weather outside affects out AG's?
I know it has been hot but we had several cool days that the windows were wide open and the house was cool. I noticed that I had more fallen buds or teeny peppers on the deck and floor. Here it is hot and humid again and I have not found any.
Anyone else experience this?

Not really, because I have been neglecting my plants a bit and I can't tell. BUT if I were growing lettuce there'd be a huge difference..that I know. Thanks for that added feature of the box next to the new addition to the thread. I find it Handy.

Speaking of weather changes, this is the time when many in New England are bringing in the last harvests of early planted outdoor crops. It is also the time when bugs like to hitch a ride into the house too! Got a screen with a tiny slit? In they come ! Especially(shiver) SPIDERS. I found a product that is a sure kill for bugs and will not harm the plants , pets or people. It only targets bugs. I have been using it since ..oh, Spring, I guess at the suggestion of my Bro who knows very well about my arachnophobia. Anyway it is an entire line called Eco Smart and can be found on Amazon and elsewhere online.I use the flying insect spray. To me it smells like root beer ! It is rather strong smelling,..all herbs...but one gets used to it and I have learned to trust it rather than toxic chemicals. Anyway... just thought I would suggest it. Admin, please delete if this type of post/ad is not appropriate. thanks.

Perfectly fine Corinne. I am going to check it out. Tiny flying things like to come in thru the screens this time of year and can't stand them.

I don't know what's going on. Up until last Friday, my air conditioner was off for over two weeks. It was on the cool side. Today is the first day of Fall. It was 93° here in western Michigan. It is 6:30pm and it is still 92°. It is supposed to be over 90° for the next six days. We only had two 90° days this whole summer! Geez! My air is on max, and my fans are on high. It's still 82° inside. That's what I get for living in a 3rd floor condo. What's worse is the humidity.

I hate the humidity. It makes my hot flashes even worse. It will be in the high 80's all week. I was actually looking forward to the cooler weather.

Yes, I was looking at the weather forecast while driving in to work this morning and was surprised to see high 80s predicted for the weekend
Sigh. This was supposed to be my time of the year.

Yesterday it was in the 90's here. What happened to Fall? Indian Summer did.
This morning I have all the windows open as it is nice out although some humidity. I know I will be closing them in a couple hours when it starts to heat up again.

I live in Western Michigan. It is supposed to be in the mid 60's this time of year. It has been over 90 for the last three days! It is supposed to be over 90 through next Tuesday. Jeez! Prior to this heat wave, it was nice and cool for the previous two weeks. Crazy weather.

It is so humid! I thought it was scorching hot until I turned on the news and the temp was under 81 degrees! It feels like 92. It was so sad: I just came from the Depot and they have TONS of mums. But they are all out under the direct sun and no one is buying. The lonely cashier looked so bored with no sales at all. All the mum buds are wide open and look like the plants are all finished opening....and they are 16.98 or so. What a waste. I went down the street and found some still in the bud and in shade and for a lower price. Friday I was at Lowes and they had theirs in their garden center which had some shelter and shade. The Depot has gone way down in quality for the past 2 years I find. Sad. It used to be a favorite place. But I would rather go to the Mom & Pop small centers and pay more for well taken care of plants for sale.

I need to go get some Mums myself. I did buy a few pumpkins but I need the mums to finish off the look.
ANd I agree Home Depot has gone south. Lowes is much better. Then like you said the mom and pop places I will go to as long as their prices are not too high. I like to support local establishments.

This is MY WEATHER! I wait all year for weather like this! I ate my Snickers Bar, according to the tv Commercial , and now am back to my real self! ...BUT in a few days we are promised(I call it 'threatened') 80 degree temps once again. But that doesn't end it around here . Here in New England we have what is called "Indian Summer" where after the first frost in Oct/Nov the temps swoop back up to very hot! I hate those days. I call the cool weather like today "Specious promises of Release"! But I will take them when I can.

I woke up to a house that was freezing I turned the heat on just to get the chill out. It was 43 degrees out there this morning. I had to put a sweater on to take Proxy out. It felt wonderful but my body needs to get used to it. Now today it will be in the 70's and Thursday in the 80's. Well this is the time of year the temp fluctuates. I guess I should start putting summer stuff away and getting some fall clothing out. I will need them soon then later and I know I am not wearing my sleeveless tanks anymore this year.

I just love waking up to a house that's freezing, and this time, it didn't cost any electricity!!!
