My eBay Sprout arrived at the end of last week. It was a little dirty and has lots of light surface scratching, but I’m fine with that. After getting it cleaned up and dried out I had to wait a few more days for my Love Blooms kit to arrived. That happened yesterday and so today I started my first office garden. Here’s hoping I’ll soon have a more cheerful workspace!

I needed to make a quick stop at the office this morning and checked in with the Sprout. It's four days in and no love is in the air as of yet. Still waiting for a sign of life.

After four days of working from home and weekend hunkering down for the hurricane, I made it back to the office this morning. Didn’t take long before I spotted a little glimpse of green peeking out at me. I’ll take it. 🙂

Day 14 means an R&R and feeding for this little one today. Maybe it'll spur some growth?

Today there appears to be a lot of green hiding under the label of the seed pod. Should I try to get the sponge to sit higher, let it push through or ?

I first lifted it off of one side of the basket to give the emerging greenery room, then just yesterday pulled the whole thing off because the green had filled out most of the top of the basket. Then I reused the label on another garden.

Have the flowers crested the label? Or have you removed it yet?

Have the flowers crested the label? Or have you removed it yet? There’s a hint of green above the label at the moment. I’ve decided to leave it on and see what happens. 😬

After another weekend away from the office this is what I returned to this morning. I’m leaving the dome off. Still not removing the label. I’m curious to see what happens with it on. 🤔

And here we are today. The brown edges on a few of the leaves are 100% my fault. I touched them a bit trying to get the label out of their way and I think I made some small tears/bruises on those leaves. It’s growing fine though. I may remove those leaves as it gets bigger.

I’m impressed you got them out! Seems like everything else we all grow comes up as a single tiny seedling that easily clears the sides of the label opening. But these come out like a big powder puff in comparison.

Here’s what I returned to in the office this morning. Looks like it found its way out from under the label. 🙂
