Here are the deck layouts for the NEW Harvest models. Also notice they now have the rod with a lever to lower and raise the hoods. The water hole is also redesigned.

The farm XL sounds almost like an InstaBuy for me, but maybe after I move.
I could start growing Pubes (peppers) again!

I knew that big Farm was coming!
Glad it didn't show up sooner, though. I need to wait before I buy any other units.

LOL, yes we need to have Nick bypass when we post about Farms. We don't want your wife banning you from the forum

I like them, and thanks for posting the photos.I like the new sleek design. BUT...I ask myself if they do anything different than what my present machines are doing. If not....then....

I really like the functionality of a round design. I find myself turning my machines to get at things in the back and have thought a round machine might be nice. I don't really like the display/control areas, though (I got spoiled by my first machine's touch screen). On the site in the specs it says 12" of growing space iirc.

It states 12" of growing space but I actually measured the ones we have now and one unit is 11.5" growing space while the other is only 10.75" of growing space. SO my one machine is not what it states . I thought it did not raise as high. The 12" is to the top of the hood which is .5" thick at least for my one machine.

I haven't had to raise mine all the way up yet...but I will soon. I'm going to measure mine, now, too! That's...actually fairly irritating, especially since you're supposed to keep the plants like an inch away from the lights so basically tha means we have like 10" of growing space as is. If the newer ones are smaller... Yikes.

The Harvest that raises 10.5" was made in 2015 not that it matters. I use it anyway and would never have looked if not for the fact that AG has pics of the new models with a 10" raise. Oh well still waiting to see what they come back with. If they answer me back at all.

The only difference is the elite has a vacation mode. Other then that they should do the same thing.

The only difference is the elite has a vacation mode. What is "vacation mode" exactly? Will it send a text to my sister to remind her to come over and add more water?

Sorry, no texts to your sister LOL, but lights are only on for 8 hours and it uses less water. Also has heat sensitive lights, they dim when the LED goes off.

All great information - thank you, Shawn, for all your investigative work. No I will go measure my hoods, too.

Here are some differences with the new Harvest Model: 1) The light hood IS thinner 2) The hood no longer has to be pushed up with that clicking noise. It now has a level to lift and hold. 3) The deck plugs are made from a different rubber and fit much better. 4) There is a small power adapter that plugs into the unit instead of it being hard wired. 5) The pump connector has its own space. 6) The way the deck fits into the bowl LOOKS as if we wont get that calcium buildup (yet to be determined) 7) The cover that you add nutes and water is a lift off type like the Sprout. No longer has the long piece that goes into tank. 8) From a quick review it appears that if you do loose power there is a way to change the number of days planted. Again I have NOT looked into this that much YET. The one thing I do not like is that AG will NOT be making White hole covers. I WANT white so the blend in with the white decks.
