Well one thing off the bat I do not like is that fact that the hood on the rectangle Elite raises only to 10" now and not 12". Also that extra 1/2" total height can be an issue getting it under some cabinets. The round one raises 12" but being round I think takes up more deck space.
They do look nice however. Hopefully all the kinks will be worked out prior to selling.

Yeah the drop in available grow height is a weird change to me. That's the one thing that AeroGarden growers seem to be consistently talking about in my experience. Maybe I don't get it since I'm not a Harvest owner?
Seems to me like once you're used to 12 inches it'd be hard to go down to 10.

Yes, 2" is a lot depending on what you grow. But I want higher, not shorter. Please I works love a 30" or higher hood height in a tall.
That is just me, some may not care. The non elite ones are 12". Also the rounds ones have less deck space.

We may but they are just too much money and I do not have any more space. MAYBE I would replace an Extra or Ultra for a Taller 9 pod.

I agree about the 2”. As it is, my herbs and even lettuces grow into the hood at full maturity.
But I must say, they do look sharp. Thanks chedda.

I am looking at the 360, which seems to be a redesigning of the old AG3 but with LED. But...does that LED hod seem to be very small for a Harvest, or is it the way I am seeing it? I would go for a 360 for my kitchen if I found a good december sale below 99.95.... OR, better yet.... Come Jan , Craigslist here I come! I 'd never pay 129.00 plus shipping though..NEVER. but I have to say... the ARE cute!

The 360's are nice as are the other ones. But the 360 deck is smaller and in turn aren't the pods closer together? Smaller deck?
I would consider (if at a really good price) the Elite rectangle IF it had a 12" hood height, but not with the 10"

The AG3 only had 3 pods. I wouldmn't mind that type of a deck and hole placement for a kitchen counter with limited space. A few flowers to perk up my morning would suffice nicely. Yup!

Its nice that they are updating the Harvest just after I bought one!! I notice none of the new ones are with WiFi. Perhaps they realize how many people had problems with them.
This time of year its best to wait for black Friday.

Its nice that they are updating the Harvest just after I bought one!! I know right?! Lol. I know just how you feel. I bought, within 2 months, more than 6 CFL bulb machines and boom, they came out with the LED machines. I have a closet full of old CFL bulb machines. So, oops, I had to buy a bunch more.

Can you donate any old units or possibly sell them?

I have been talking with someone at AG regarding the NEW Harvest Elite and it having only a 10" height. While the description states 12" .. THEIR picture only shows 10".
I am having them verify it again. I even sent them a picture of their picture. I bet a dozen donuts or a whole cheesecake that they change the picture LOL
Losing 2" is just too much

Cutting 2" off the hood height is just crazy.
And my main issue with the new Harvests are the old harvests. I have six of them, and at least two have had issues with their LCDs.
Right now, the only one I'm using is in my office at work, where I have quite the healthy (single) AG standard jalapeno plant, which I have to constantly cut out of the light hood because it keeps growing into it. Why they'd reduce even that paltry 12" is beyond me. The harvest would be about perfect for growing single pepper plants if it could go up to at least 18", and unlike the extra/ultra/bounty models, the stupid hood seems fixed so I can't even cobble together some 3D printed extender as I can with the larger gardens.

The person I talked to told me only one pictures stated 10", I sent him the Black and Sage Elites pictures which ALL say 10". He is going to go measure to see if they are 10" or 12". Makes no sense.
That is a huge typo if they are indeed 12". Does anyone proofread?
I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE: Speaking with a new rep from AG, they are reaching out to the marketing team who puts together the machines and info for pages. They understand as of now is there seems to be at least 1" taken off. The 12" is from the top of the hood (not the lights) to the deck. Again this is being confirmed and I will get an email as soon as they find out.
Also what they do not show that they usually do is the deck layout. They are emailing me layouts of the 360 and Elites. These will be posted as soon as I get the email.
I was also told about TWO NEW unit that will be out shortly. One will be a Farm XL. This will raise 36". The other will be called a Harvest Slim. This is as wide as the Sprout but double the length. So are talking 5" x 22 to 24" with a 10" raise but they said it may be 12". Again I will get an email as soon as they get back to her.
