It seems that different seed companies put different seeds (and proportions) in their mesclun mixes. This one from Ferry-Morse contains, "Grow seven different salad greens from just one packet of seed with this Mesclun Mix. Enjoy the complementary flavors and textures of arugula, endive, red kale, red and green romaine, Salad Bowl, and Lolla Rossa lettuce. It is beautiful in the garden and on the plate!" Although the arugula has (as always) a strong smell, this blend is tasty without being too strong. I planted this in my Ultra on August 26 and it's going strong... even bouncing back after haircuts.

That’s a wonderful mix they put together. Do all the seeds look alike, such that you can’t tell what you’re planting?
