After a month of waiting today was finally the day my new machines were delivered. I bumped a couple of meetings up on my schedule so that I could get home and open boxes. š I guess Iāve got some planting to do during the upcoming weekend!

I need to make the Mylar panels for the Farms. I was waiting until they arrived so I could measure them properly. Iām actually not sure if Iāll tackle that or planting first. Itās so bright that they may be necessary.
The good news is that Iāve got panels ready to go for the new Farm Plus. I should definitely be able to get something planted in there.
Oh! And I got a surprise in my Farm boxes. Let me get a photo of that to share...

The surprise was an updated set of Quick Plant and assembly guides, which were included with both of my Farm models. Does anyone else spot something new? Looks like they still hadnāt decided between the āFarm Tallā and āFarm XLā names when these were printed. Iām sure weāll find out soon enough.

Yes, this will be a new model. I think I posted about it. It will now raise 36" instead of the 24".

Oh SO fun!!!!!!!!!!! They look so great, too! Do you have anything specific in mind that you already know that you will be planting? What will be your first garden?

Somehow Iāve missed your questions till now. Obviously Iāve already started some of them, but hereās my plan for the initial plantings. Farm 1 (top left): Herbs! (Italian Parsley, Cilantro, Genovese Basil, Purple Basil) Lettuces! (Marvel of 4 Seasons, Deer Tongue, Rouge dāHiver, Black Seeded Simpson, Salad Bowl) Farm 2 (top right): Repeat of above, but two weeks later. Farm+ 1 (bottom left): Heirloom Cherry tomatoes, Golden Harvest tomatoes, (2) Extreme Bush tomatoes. Farm+ 2 (bottom right): (2) Sweet Heat peppers, JalapeƱo peppers, Admiral Hybrid peppers

While most of my plants are in the germination stage and Iām in āhurry up and wait while obsessively checking for sproutsā mode...
I thought it was worth noting that the lights on the Farm Plus models seem to get somewhere between 3/4 of an inch to a full inch closer to the decks than the lights on the standard Farm models.
I had to get out the measuring tape because I thought it was some sort of optical illusion with the height difference. Nope. They actually are closer.

Very interesting about the lights! I wonder why they did that. Or they just goofed.

Today is the first day Iāve had all of the units running since they arrived. For the curious, energy usage for each unit looks to run at an average of 140 watts when the lights are on.

I took a photo of the Farms this morning before I left for work because theyāre my happy place. Tending to them really is the best stress relief for me these days.
