This is my first real experimental AeroGardening. Last night I planted two sets of “Extreme Bush” seeds from Victory Seed Company. Extreme Bush is a popular Dwarf Determinant variety that produces 3oz red fruit. Plant height is approximately 24-28 inches. Could be cutting it close, but we’ll see. They were planted in AG sponges and I’ll be feeding them with GH Flora nutes (eventually supplementing with Mooch). First feeding was a 1:1:1 ratio of the GH nutes.

Exciting! A new tom experiment! For the potential height issue, maybe a simple topping will be all it needs.

Life has become FAR too busy at the moment so I owe the board some other updates. For now this will have to do: I got my first sprout from the two Extreme Bush pods today!

It’s always exciting when a new experimental seed germinates!

It turns out that two sprouts were popping up in the pod from the previous photo. One of them was chopped down when I took the dome off of that pod after lights out tonight. Still no sign of life from the other pod.

Fingers crossed you get quick germination in the other pod.

Slow but steady growth here. After the R&R in the morning I’m betting these will take off.

R&R this morning. Second feeding was 1:2:2:1 ratio of Mooch/GH Micro/GH Grow/GH Bloom.

The first of the two plants to sprout is exhibiting some leaf curl today. Even with the lights completely lowered they’re a good 5 inches above the plant. It’s around 82 degrees on the deck right now.

How are they doing after the R & R? Happy campers I bet.

Too early for Mooch I thinks. Check the thread in on the Nutes Board.

Out of an abundance of caution I just did another R&R and switched to AG nutes for this one. I also an an extra gallon of water through the tank in between the rinse and the refill to try to flush it out as much as possible.
I’m not confident I’m using the GH nutes correctly so We’ll see if this corrects the curl.
Fed with 16ml of AG nutes during the R&R.

Neither of these plants looked good this morning so I terminated both. I think they were suffering from the same overfeeding problem as my other plants.
I’ll be restarting these with AG nutes today.

Just out out of curiosity were you able to test the ppm before tossing the water?
