I moved the kohlrabi so my cukes have the unit all to themselves. But what what is going on with them??

My starter leaves are like that too. I am also only adding 2ml of nutes. I will post some pics of mine in my thread in a few.

Ok that makes me feel a little better. Since this pic I cut the starter leaves off because they are the worst, but it’s on the others too, just not as bad. What if we got a bad batch of seeds??

Corinne mentioned these are very sensitive. So only adding 2ml nutes. But she also said if it looks stressed, to dump the water and refill it. I think wait a day then add more nutes? I need to reread her thread.

I dumped and refilled with plain for 1 day and then added 2ml to the tank.

I should’ve snapped a pic before I left town yesterday, because the 2 biggest leaves also got much worse so I cut them off too. Then I had a bad dream about it last night, cutting and cutting till I threatened the life of the plant. I should’ve done the R n R with plain water before I left, but I wouldn’t have been able to feed until I return on Sunday. We shall see what awaits me then.

Worse case scenario, you plant a new seed, Only feed 2ml.

Well I arrived back in town on Sunday night, and while I now have leaf curl, I am still very happy with the condition of the plants, having not been able to dump the water. The spots are nearly eradicated, and besides the leaf curl they look much better. In the first picture the leaf in back is in much better shape than the one in front, it’s just not evident in the pic. The fact that they still grew after cutting 4 leaves off while still so young is also a good sign, I’m thinking.

I've grown a few cukes varieties, and always seemed to end up with stressed leaves like this, and I'm not sure I ever figured out why.
But, it's never prevented them from ultimately yielding some seriously tasty cukes, so I figure at least part of the process is not worrying too much.

This was taken December 10, 3 days after feeding 2mg. I think they’ve improved since then but am not sure because I’ve barely been home the last 2 weeks. I hope they have.

Mary, they should be ok. Mine looked like that as well. I did cut off two leaves that were drying out. Did you do a rinse and refill too?

I think I did, because of the earlier problem. I think maybe it needs a little more food.

These were taken December 14. (I’m sorry I’m so behind. I have barely been home in the last month, just in and out.). It recovered nicely from its earlier troubles. Lots of flowers, and it is poised to now wrap itself around the beginning of the trellis.
