Both my seeds and my trellis arrived!!! I put the trellis behind the machine pictured below to give an idea of its height relative to an AG (AG is sitting on a 28” plant stand). I plan to plant the Munchers at the adjacent wall because of the picture frame in this pic. The adjacent shelf is higher, perhaps 31”, so less of the trellis will show. I can’t wait!! Thank you for the discovery, Corinne!

Today a new table arrived from Amazon that I’m hoping will help me shift machines around to more comfortably make room for my cucumber garden (and other tall gardens). Otherwise I would have had my garden planted by now. I hope to be able to put a tall machine or 2 on the floor underneath and be able to easily slide the machine in and out for maintenance. That way I can keep my cuke garden up top with the trellis. This is the table, and I hope the small depth is not a problem. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075Q6HBYZ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1In anticipation of a very prolific AG cucumber garden, I post what I made last night with my 2nd to last outdoor cuke and my radishes. It doesn’t look great not plated, plus I had not put the toasted almonds on top yet, or the parsley-I jumped the gun, oops. This recipe is a keeper and I will be making it a lot with the winter AG cucumbers. www.bonappetit.com/recipe/cucumber-and-radish-salad-2

Oh boy, was I exhausted and reeeally didn’t feel like putting this stuff together. But I’m so glad I did - it has worked out so well! Better than I expected. I even have room for 2 more machines!! Then I moved my jalapeño GAL to underneath. I can’t fully extend the hood under the table, but fairly close. It’s worth it to me to sacrifice a couple inches of the plant, to be able to accommodate 2 more machines. I’m going to move the herbs back up, because I really don’t want herbs or lettuce down below. But I was way too tired at that point, lol.

MaryL, have you started your Mini Munch yet? I will be starting mine soon. I am waiting for my Trellis. Hopefully, you, @cornne and I can all start around the same time if you have not already.

I received the trellis and it is already in the box for return. The idiots used bubble wrap to wrap it which would have been good IF they did not use glue in the inside of the wrap. It glues together the bubble wrap in between each diamond AND glued itself to the metal itself. I pulls, ripped and tired to cut it off and it would not. On the parts I did get it off,. it removed the paint. Off to find a new one. I think I will just go to lowes and get a bamboo wood one or hope to find one. I am so mad they did that.

Now tell me..do they require darkness to germinate better? I see you have the inverted spacers under the domes(or what looks like inverted spacers)Just curious.
What sponges did you use, Mary?

Honestly I don’t know about what kind of light is better for their germination. I just put those covers on because they were handy, and I was too lazy to go fish out some proper pod covers. I need to take them off as soon as the seeds germinate so I don’t harm the little baby plants.

Both my cukes have germinated! (Don’t mind the neighbors. They’ll move at some point.)
