Im gonna make an attempt at growing a cuke plant in my harvest touch. 2 Mini munch cuke seeds in one pod of harvest touch. Park seed sponge. 2 ml nutes (as per what I've read ((dont overdue nutes)) from mary and shawns m.m.c. threads.) I even have a garden trellis I never used ready on standby in hopes. 🤞

I'm glutton for punishment, i like to push the envelope. Both seeds sprouted and i didnt have the heart to axe one.

Day 19. These two are doing great so far! The second set of leaves are freakin huge. Did anyone cut those off to allow more light through? I've even seen a couple little vines starting.

The look great, orangetab! You will find that the cukes hide under those leaves and after a while, after the flowers drop off, you will find some unexpected surprises under there.

These are growing like crazy, the left one is getting taller then its right mate. I'm starting to think the trellis is going to be too small lol.

While I only grew these once (Corinne has much more experience with these), I tried to train the leaves and tendrils to grow where I wanted them. Some with success some with none LOL

it definitely ain't bonsai, BUT, you can keep the vines under control by pointing them in the right direction before you go to bed.

Ok well this blows my mind but I'm out of vertical space already. Ive been having to lift the lid twice a day and by tomorrow I know the left plant will be folding over against the lights. So today I begin the big task of firstly trying an experiment and moving my pepper plant to soil. I was gonna axe it but if it handles the transition then cool. Next washing my bounty up real well. Then moving these cukes to the bounty, which will be rough as their rootball is probably almost as big as the 4 mth old pepper. *sigh* I'm partially sad as ive done really well getting every lil vine to hug onto the trellis. So it will be a slow, caring, task.

you can let those vines wrap around the base of the machine, droop down and then looped over the trellis over and over again. They don;t have to be straight or all under the lights. The tendrils will grab ahold of the metal all on thir own and ..just try to get them off! LOL

Oh so are you saying i could take the head of the plant and tilt it to encourage horizontal growth? I'd love not to move them (less damage).
