I planted NuMex Sandia Select Peppers on a Bounty today. The Select variety is a new hybrid out of the University of New Mexico. This was designed to be used in place of Hatch chilis as a hotter green chili to be used in Mexican cuisine. This is a thicker walled variety of the NuMex Sandia, which was designed to be dried and ground into powder. This is an 8" long pod that is light to medium green in color. They are about 1-1/2" in diameter. The heat level is 8,000-9,000 SHU.  |

There're loops in 2 of 3. What do you mean by 'loops'? Is that when the seed germinates and there is a beginning of the process doubled over within the pod? |

A couple of gardens needed major undergrowth clearance today. This is afterwards. I hated trimming out bunches of buds, but it had to be done.  |

I feel the same about trimming mine. I would love to let a hydroponic pepper do its own thing, for once, and just see how it turns out.
