Ahh Another Shawn on the Forum. Yes, Purchasing from auctions are hard. If in person always ask to plug it in. Either way always a gamble. The Harvest in any form is a great model! Welcome and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Howdy from hot and muggy Houston. I'm not new to AG; I've been an addict since 2006-07 or thereabouts. I've owned several AGs over the years; currently own 5 various countertop models, the 45 watt grow panel for starting seedlings, and expecting delivery today of a knock-off called a Spider Farmer. I have also tried a few other knock-off gardens but I always return to my "roots" with AG.
I'm researching the Farm models since they are on KILLER sale right now, but so far I am resisting since I wonder if the maintenance would be too much for me to handle. I am a cancer survivor and have more physical limitations these days. I have a small raised bed garden outdoors but it is just about played out in this 100°+ weather, so time to crank up the AGs again!
Anyway, I thought I'd stop lurking and introduce myself. Happy gardening everyone!

I have been able to care for mine. Sometimes since I have mine stacked my husband will help me if there's a lot of water in the basins. Otherwise it's pretty easy to empty if you follow the directions. But that's just my opinion. Hopefully others will jump in and give you theirs. BTW, Glad you came out of lurking mode and we hope to see more of you and your posts and gardens.

Hi! I live in Western NC and have also been lurking and figured it was finally time to say hello.
I've been aerogardening for at least 2 years now and have also branched out to Kratky. I started out with herbs and lettuces, then tomatoes and peppers and now I am planning on cucumbers, green beans and alpine strawberries.
I have a 3 Sprouts, 2 Harvests and 2 XL Farms.
I have soo many questions and am eager to pick your brains. I can make things grow, but then I'm at a loss after that when it comes to what nutrients are needed and when.
Looking forward to chatting with all of you!

Looking forward to hearing about your adventures with green beans and alpine strawberries.
Green beans are on my short list to grow and I've never heard of alpine strawberries.

Hello! Great to find this community! I have an aeropod harvest with petunias in 3 of 6 pod areas, and I find that 3 pods fills it beautifully ! I have a sprout growing herbs. And I have a 24xl -one side has greens and the other side has mini peppers and squash , I got one zucchini so far. That may be all, although I do get flowers. I actually found this forum because I'm considering trying brussels sprouts. I live in Michigan and I do have several things growing outside now but this upcoming winter will be this first with my 24XL - Excited to see what we can grow in the winter!!

Hi saladlover and welcome. I'm pretty new here myself; just stumbled upon this place and said "I found my peeps!!" Who knew so many great people love AeroGardening. Hope you'll stick around and tell us about what you're growing. Brussels sprouts sound interesting!

Hi AGA!
Have owned a Bounty for a couple of years now but have been rather aimless with my intentions. First planting was lettuce with decent success; second planting was cherry tomatoes and jalapenos, both grew extremely well; third was a variety of herbs, all of which did quite well except for my dill which got shaded out by the basil; latest planting was once again lettuce, but it this round turned out very bitter after about 45 days of robust growth and minimal harvesting. Decided it's time to up my game and connect with folks who have had more experience with their gardens. Looking forward to learning!

Howdy from Houston, billy ! Welcome to the addiction. You'll quickly learn that some of us don't really have any level of "expertise," but that doesn't keep us from chiming in!! What are you planning to grow next?
Edit--Forgot to say that if you harvest lettuce soon after adding nutes it will have a funky taste, so wait a couple of days after fertilizing to enjoy your lettuce.

Hi everyone!
I figured I'd finally introduce myself since I've been lurking for a long time. I really appreciate all of the knowledge and experience that is shared here.
I'm Teri - I live in south-eastern New Hampshire. My Aerogarden "addiction" started with a Bounty that my husband randomly bought for me as a gift about 12 years ago, As both an avid (outdoor) gardener, and someone with a love of all "gadgets" - the Aerogarden was like a dream.
That Bounty is still with me, along with 2 other Bounty's, 6 Harvests, 2 Sprouts, and most recently a Farm 24 XL.
We also have a medium-sized traditional (outdoor) garden - 6 raised beds (3 x 8), and a 20 x 15 "open" area where I typically plant Butternut squash, potatoes, or pumpkins. Our summers are short here (and very busy), so we've recently scaled down the outdoor garden (it used to be 12 raised beds).
In my Aerogardens, I'm currently growing --- flowers (Harvest on my work desk), Basil (Harvest in the kitchen), Lettuce in another Harvest, Rosemary in another Harvest, various herbs in another Harvest, and Tatsoi in the last Harvest. In the Bounty's I have - Mega Cherry Tomatoes (3 plants in 1 unit), AG Cucumbers (2 plants in 1 unit), and AG Sweet Banana Peppers (3 plants in 1 unit). All are doing very well (we had sliced cukes for a side dish last night).
My Farm is pretty new -- in one side, I am growing a Super Bush Container tomato (1 pod of 1 side). It looks pretty tiny and lonely in there right now (just planted on Sept 21st), but it should get pretty large - roughly 2 &1/2 - 3' tall, so I am exercising willpower and only planting one. Ok, I did put 2 basil pods in that side also, but may end up removing those. In the other side of the Farm I have 2 Cucumber plants (Iznik). Just planted those yesterday.
I also have multiple Kratky jars with various herbs, flowers, etc. (always need to make room in the Aerogardens, right)? lol
Hoping to continue to learn lots from all the experienced folks here, and share where I can. Thank you for having me!

Hi tdse! Do keep us informed on your projects, especially the container tomato! A bunch of us are currently experimenting with different varieties of these, in hopes of finding the perfect AG slicing fomato!

You'll like the Iznik cuke.
I had really good luck with them. You have to keep an eye on them, they like to hide!
