Added 23 ml Nutes, 18 ml Mooch.
Note: I didn't notice any gnats when I added the nutes. Also, I'm not going to top them. I'm not sure if the existing leaves are in good enough shape to take the stress.

I decided to strip off the leaves with the bad edema. I also took all the new buds. I left the pile there for you to see. If the size of the buds are any indication, the peppers will be fairly large. A number of these leaves on the plant had petrified. They were hard. Strange plants.

This round of your pepper grows is turning out to be intriguing and mysterious!
Exciting to follow!

Yeah, and frustrating. I don't see new edema yet. I pray the fresh water helped. But I do like the new side growth. I've been removing a lot of buds. In about a week, I'm going to let it grow.

These are hanging in there. The plants are a lot smaller than I wanted, though. 24 ml Nutes, 20 ml Mooch, 6 ml GH Liquid KoolBloom

Well, I think I am suffering from too good air conditioner syndrome. 15 plants all planted the same weekend of July 4th. Pretty good looking plants and no peppers. I can't turn the air off, it 90° out. It's about 76° in here. But the air current is strong. I have to figure something out.

Even a homemade one from cardboard or something? Might not be pretty...but...

I don't know. The vents are between 5 and 6 feet off the ground. That would affect the cooling of my entire unit, too. I bought this at the end of July last year. I wasn't growing anything but greens, then.

Oh, dear. A balancing act, I guess? Between home comfort and pepper comfort. I'm hoping for an early Autumn and cooler temps!!

Our highs will be down in a couple of days. That's when they'll need nutes, also. I'm going to dump the water on everything and start with fresh nutes. My old amount without the bloom booster. I'm also going to try General Hydroponics CAL MAGic as a replacement for the Mooch. I still have some, but I'm having a hard time finding it, anymore. We'll see.

I am confident you will figure it out Mike. Both cooling and mooch replacement.
I look forward to hearing what you come up with an I will be in the same predicament as you soon with the mooch.
Keep us posted on both fronts.

Airscapes, I have been looking into making homemade nutrients. I hadn't thought of the CalMag, but that's a good idea. I have plenty for awhile, now. But I am going to do this. The thing is, how much do I need to make. A problem for another time.

Depends on how much water you have.. You can mix up a gallon 1/2 tsp of cal and 1/4tsp mag or you if you are adding it to something that holds a gallon and has none, and is already full of water, dissolve it in a small amount of warm water and add it to the machine. There would be some experimentation on how you would manage it but it is cheap enough that it would not matter , and probably just mix as needed.. shipping is probably more than the 10lbs of product. For my plants outside in the drirt I was just mixing in a gallon milk jug and gave each pepper a gallon of water and cal/mag. Tomato in bucket gets changed every week (8gallons) and it is mixed at the above rate with the fertilizer which is at the same 1/2tsp per gal. A this point by day 2 after feeding I am mixing 2 more gallons of food tand cal/mag to add when water is needed because the ec has already dropped and it want more to eat.

You might check at your local Ace, Lowes or Home Depot...or a hydroponics store near you...save the shipping cost?

Mike Hydro-Garden has a pepper/herb formula that is mixed at the same rate as Calcium (just like the tomato formula I am using) hydro-gardens.com/product/pepper-herb-formula-5lbs-box-11-11-40x5So, 3 products mixed 1/2, 1/2, 1/4 tsp per gallon (dissolves easy) really simple to do and I am thrilled to death with the way the tomato is growing.. looking at the trellis the one in the bucket is taller and thicker with larger fruit than the ones in the ground. It is almost 8' tall now and I am topping and pinching all of them so they don't get any taller. Just saying, this is stuff sold to actual farms that grow hydroponic food, unlike the per mix bottles made for Clandestine Indoor growers of high value non vegetable plants . Oh I have talked to the guys at Hydo-garden when I have questions and the are very helpful and seem to know there stuff. I was far more impressed with them than either of the Hydroponic store owners I talked with locally.. Hope you find this helpful Doug
