Ok so looking closer there are peppers but not as many as I first thought compared to his neighbor. There are a ton of flowers and hoping they produce long green pods. Anyway only posting because of the growth spurt in the pepper himself. I think it is longer as the ruler slipped some while trying to take the picture.

I had to cut two peppers off as they are getting what appeared to be Bottom Rot. I cut the bottoms off and will use the rest of the peppers later. All the others look to be ok..
From what I am reading it can be a calcium deficiency. I just did and R&R. Added half the nutes since I have to give them more on Sunday and added full Mooch. I will just give 2ml on Sunday.
Hopefully this will work!

Mark and I tried Green Big Jim's. While I would not normally pick until red, these too had issues.
Anyway... This is Mark's assessment
These Big Jim's smell like a green bell pepper and sweet. They are very crunchy, thin skinned, lots of flesh and moderate amount of seeds. There is a basic Green bell pepper taste profile. Heatwise, If a Jalapeno were scaled at a 10, these would rate a 5. Heat is immediate but fades quickly.

It sounds like a pepper whose heat I can handle raw, undiluted in a recipe.

Mark said it is a keeper, IF the remaining peppers do not start to soften and brown at the tips. I am thinking it also may be when I pollinate, the rot spots kinda line up with nubs from the lower leaves I cut off. So I will be careful. I hope this is the case and not anything major.

The level of heat sounds about right for an Anaheim. I find them to be very versatile for cooking, and excellent for a not-really-that-hot green chili sauce. They are indeed pleasantly meaty, and I always like to throw a bunch in with my habaneros in my "I'm going to regret this later" chili.

Oh I had forgotten this is an Anaheim. I had over time become confused and thought it was a type of jalapeño. So I was surprised at the much lower heat. Got it now.

I can think of a few dishes, but I have to make sure Mark does not eat them raw first LOL. I am just waiting for them to turn red.
