Big Jim is a medium heat Anaheim Pepper. It is said to grow (although in the AG I expect smaller) 6 to 9 inches long by 1.5 to 2 inches wide. It supposed to have a medium thick flesh. Plant grows 18 to 24 inches tall. Uses: Large Stuffing, Prolific, Roasting, Fried/Stir-Fried, ng/Processing.
Machine: Ultra Now in the Bounty
Sponges: Park Vendor: Chile Plants Seeds: two Nutes: AG

I find Anaheims to be quite tasty in Chili.

So I had two seeds in the pod and saw nothing was happening. So I also put one in a paper towel like Mike suggested. This morning I looked and nothign happening in the sponge but the paper towel had a root beginning. (I wish I took a picture).
I carefully lifted it and placed it in with the other seeds. Here it is and you can see the tiny root starting

Excellent! When did you originally put the seed in the paper towel?

Nutes added. You can see it but I think it is growing upside down unless the seed shell is hooked on. I looked inside and the other two seeds are growing a root.

That's just the seed casing. You can pull it off if it doesn't shed it on it's own. It probably will though.

Yes, I know I had to look however because that was the seed in the paper towel and I wanted to be sure I put it in upside up.

There are three stems up. I will wait a few more days before seeing which one to clip. mike , how long do you usually wait until you snip others out and leave one?

I wait a while. Until they are big enough to get nippers in there and cut out the one you want gone. Don't wait too long, though.

Remember, you don't want to add Mooch too early. Wait a minimum of three weeks. I wait a month.

I am correcting this, wrong thread for this and the GAL one. I was having a bad day yesterday and did not pay attention. Thanks for making that comment! Now I can correct the posts.
