The longest one is at 5 3/4". You can not see it as it is being blocked by others. There are several tiny ones in the top but covered by leaves.

great project, shawn. They put me in mind of a large italian frying pepper..except..they are hot. I bet you have recipes all lined up for these beauties!
I can think of a few dishes, but I have to make sure Mark does not eat them raw first LOL. I am just waiting for them to turn red.
Are they so mild that they can be eaten raw?

Yes they can be eaten raw. Here was Mark's assessment:
These Big Jim's smell like a green bell pepper and sweet. They are very crunchy, thin skinned, lots of flesh and moderate amount of seeds. There is a basic Green bell pepper taste profile. Heat wise, If a Jalapeno were scaled at a 10, these would rate a 4/5.

I've had these before. I'd say they on the same heat scale as a Hungarian. They even look a lot alike. But the Hungarian varies greatly on the heat scale. They can be almost as hot as a jalapeno. But they can be completely sweet with no heat, as well. Big Jim's are pretty consistent, heat wise. About half as hot as a jalapeno.

As I did with my other pepper plant I trimmed so old leaves out and now more flowers and buds are forming. I also found some more peppers growing. I circled some new flowers. Of course I should have turned the plant to see the 6" pepper

Looks great! I guess I should be trimming my jalapeño. It’s a wild looking thing.

They're definitely pretty as they color up. It's shocking how fast peppers color once they get started. It's about 48-36 hours to fully color on the TS, once I see the first hint of coloring up.
